Is Dropbox hacked ?
Dropbox denied that they have been hacked. In a statement to The Next Web,
Dropbox has not been hacked. These usernames and passwords were unfortunately stolen from other services and used in attempts to log in to Dropbox accounts. We’d previously detected these attacks and the vast majority of the passwords posted have been expired for some time now. All other remaining passwords have been expired as well.
At this time of writing, the login does not work and dropbox requests users to reset their password. Though some users in reddit claim that they could login to the dropbox account for some time after it was posted. Though this wasn’t proved.
It is better for you to start protecting your account by setting up two-step verification and all other online accounts. We hope to see dropbox changing all leaked password immediately from now.
