The Sims has become one of the widely extended franchise after the release of The Sims on February 4, 2000. The Sims fan modding has just made the game play bigger. The Sims 4 was release on September 5, 2014 in UK. It was available as a Digital Download copy exclusive in origin and the priced at 69.99 USD. The price was not too low to be said as many other games are also available under 50.00 USD.
The Sims 4 has a better type of game-play compared to The Sims 3. Sims now have their own emotions in Sims 4.
Angry, Uncomfortable, Happy, Flirty and there are many more emotions. These emotions will also change the things the Sims could do. When a Sim is Sad, the Sim can Cry it Out under a blanket.
The Sims 4 also has a new way to customize your Sims. No more sliders on changing the Sims body. You can directly click on the Sim to change his body shape and customize the Sim has you want. Facial Customization is also available with just a click. There are so many different types of Sims that can be customized. Sims can also have their own traits. If a Sim has a geek trait then the Sim will love to use a laptop to practice programming and also to browse on forums. The traits determine who the Sims are.
Not only the Sims customization has been upgraded in Sims 4, but also the build mode is greatly upgraded. Building a house takes only some minutes. The Sims 4 has a completely upgraded set of tools which makes building easy. Rooms can also be moved with furniture in them. Rooms can be edited by pulling or pushing the arrows which appear near the wall.
Sims 4 game play is great. Nothing can be expected during the game play, one moment, you flirt with someone who is flirty and the next moment The Sim can become angry and be mean to you. And for the cheats were remained same as The Sims 3, where Ctrl + Shift + C will bring up the cheat console where you can enter your cheat code.
The Sims 4 can only have up top 3 floors but in The Sims 3, it was possible till 5 floors. Some say that it is done so they can improve the performance.
The Sims 4 is not a perfect game. EA focused too much on piracy and protected their software but forgot about the game play and glitches. One of my friend has bought the game from Origin and had problem installing it, after contacting live support, they got it cleared. The next morning, he had the same problem and said to the live support that he couldn’t get it to work. Their solution was again to Uninstall origin and re-install it back. He did so, but this time it didn’t work. The live support took their time and finally asked him to clear his origin cache and then play the game. So he had to do this always to make the game working. Paid version of the game had more problem than the Pirated version. EA wanted to make glitches on pirated version so people would buy the game, but in fact, EA did forget one thing, ‘When the game is good, people would buy the game’.
Even with more updates from The Sims 3, The Sims 4 lack a lot. Once you play the game for less than 12 hours, you get to know how the Sims are gonna react if you had communicated with many people. Soon your enjoyment will go down. The travelling in The Sims 4 also takes time, whenever you decide to travel, you would see your loading screen. I have truthfully not played The Sims 3 so I can’t compare it with The Sims 4. But one thing I can say is that, Sims 4 is not perfect yet even with new tools.
