The success of Apple’s latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices inspired other smartphone companies to follow their success. Recently, Xiaomi, a fast-growing Chinese phone company announced about the release of Xiaomi Mi Note, a phablet with a specification that is comparable to iPhone 6 Plus. In fact, it can be considered a bold competitor to Apple iPhone 6 Plus for mainly two big reasons–the device’s overall specifications and the price tag attached into it.
Xiaomi Mi Note will come in two versions: the regular and pro version. In each version, there will be two internal storage capacities that you can choose: the 16GB and 64GB version. This model will be released to the Chinese market on 27th January, and it is still yet unknown about when the company will release the phone for international market.
As the most popular smartphone company in China, as well as the third most popular smartphone brand in international market, Xiaomi keeps on showing their best products and offering their best price to the market. That’s why the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro can potentially be a good competitor to iPhone 6 Plus.
On the exterior side, the Mi Note is slimmer and has less weight when you compare it with iPhone 6 Plus. With 5.7-inch screen size and full HD display, you’ll be able to enjoy larger and more impressive display on your phone, which means that the display size will be a little bit bigger than the iPhone 6 Plus. It is powered by 3000 mAh battery. With the sleeker and more elegant design, it will surely be able to beat the premium look of iPhone 6 Plus.
On the camera side, the phone is equipped with 13MP high quality Sony camera with CMOS sensor and image stabilization on the rear, and 4MP camera on the front. So, we can expect that the phone’s image and video capturing ability will be top-notch and comparable to those of Apple products.
Now, let’s talk about the hardware that will give the whole phone the power it needs to run all the apps that are installed on it. For the regular Xiaomi Mi Note phone, you will get a Snapdragon 801 quad core processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, along with Adreno 330 graphic processor as well as 3GB of RAM. The 4G Dual SIM support is available for this model.
The Mi Note Pro version will have even more powerful hardware than the regular version, with Snapdragon 810 octa core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz and 1.5 GHz on each quad core part, with Adreno 430 powering the phone alongside the 4GB of RAM. Additionally, the screen display of Mi Note Pro has QHD resolution with 515 ppi, which means crisper and clearer display for you to behold.
The Mi Note and Mi Note Pro are available for approximately $370 and $530, respectively. To date, the Mi Note model from Xiaomi is the best and most expensive smartphone that the company ever released. Can it successfully beat iPhone 6 Plus? We will know the answer once the phone is released outside of the Chinese market.
